15. How did this talk expand
your understanding of the concept of sustainability? Explain.
16. How can the premise of this
TED talk help you as you build your “future city”?
1>paper bags are worse cause we take trees to make them which we takes a toll on the environment.
ReplyDelete2>not everything is Eco friendly because it has to be made and when it's made it really does help the environment due to the production of the material.
3>environmental folklore is when things are made up to have a positive impact on the choices that we choose.
4>the problem with environmental folklore is that it comes from people's experience which is not based on any scientific proof.
5>her understand is different cause she talks about what it takes to make the things we need and use. And tells the toll it takes on the environment and to be sustainable you have to know what really Eco friendly your products are.
6> the life cycle is what we picture or do with the environment that involves nature.
7>this helps with sustainability because people will be more aware of how they damage the environment.
8>only things that came from nature naturally can only biodegrade properly.not every thing that is deposed goes back into nature it usually goes into land fills.
9>refrigerators cause the most waste cause people could store more food than they would actually eat.
10>they should be redesigned to make food last longer to prevent people from wasting food cause more use of natural things.
11>people put to much water in there pots and all that extra water is being burned for energy and all that wasted energy could power homes for a long time.
12>electric tea kettle ex should be redesigned to only hold one cup of water singles watt goes to waste due to people not conserving it.
13>mobile phones are being harmful because of the people throwing out there old phones to get new ones and the production rate is higher than the human birth rate.
14>I agree that consumption is the biggest problem. It's the biggest problem cause more and more people are just unease scarily throwing out or wasting products that could bd used in the future.
15>this helps me get the concept that in order to cut down on conduction people need to rely less on nature and just reuse the thing they already have to make the resources that they have be more sustainably.
16> this Ted helps me get better at lambing my city by being more aware of the environment and that look off flaws in technology to see if they are a hazard to the environment or are consuming too much energy.
1. paper bag might be worse for the environment because we take paper out of trees so its causing environmental problems.
ReplyDelete2.because not everything comes from eco-materials they sometimes comes from nature.
3. environmental folklore is the little vcoice thats in the back of your head or the feeling that u have when u do the right thing.
4. the problem with environmental folklore is that it doesnt need to be based on any scientific framework or proof.
5.Basically what shes saying is that we need to learn to do more with less. and that we have an increasing population ad that people takes too much attention to their mobile phones.
6.life cycle thinking is what we do in the technical part of those systems that affects the environment.
7.life cycle thinking could help with sustainability because people will be more aware of how they treat the environment.
8. things that only comes from nature can blodegrate properly not everything thats deposed goes back into nature.
9. refrigerators causes the most waste because people store more food than they could actually eat.
10. they should be redesigned to make food last longer than it originally does.
11. people uts too much water in the pots and all the extra water is just being a waiste and it also burns energy while the energy could help people with their homes.
12. the tea kettle should be redesigned because it would be better if it only holds one cup of water.
13. mobile phones are being harmful beacuse some people dont really take their time to enjoy anything else but they keep staying on their phone instead.
14. i agree that consumption is the biggest problem because more people waistes alot of stuff like products that could be used in the future.
15.this help me concept that in order to cut down trees people need to stop relying on nature and just try to invent something that could also help them get what they need for use.
16. this TED talk helped me to make my city a better place where people can not only get everything from nature.
1) THE PAPER BAGS ARE THE WOST BECAUSE WHEN YOU CUT DOWN TREES IS NOT GOOD FOR THE ENIRONTMENT
ReplyDelete2) EVERY THING IS NOT ESO FRIENDLY BECAUSE IT HAS TO MADE WHEN ITS MADE IT HELPS THE ENIVROMENT
3) THE ENVIROMENTAL FOLKLORE IS WHEN THINGS ARE MADE IN HAVE IMPACT ON THINGS WE DO
4) THE PROBLEM WITH ENVIROMENT FOLKLOE IT DOSNT NEED TO BE BASE ON ANY SCIENTFIC FRAMWORK OR PROOF
5) THE SPAEKER THING IS DIFFRENT BECAUSE SHE TALKS ABOU THINGS WE NEED AND US
6) THE LIFE CYCLE IS WHAT WE DO WITH THE ENVIROMENT
7) THIS IS MORE SUSTIANABTI BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL KNOW HOW BAD THE ENVIRONMENT IS
8) HE SAYING THAT ONLY THINGS THAT COME FROM NATURE CAN ONLY BE BIODEGRADE
9) THE REFRIGEATORES CAN CAUSE THE MOST WAST BECASUE PEOPLE PU FOOD IN THEN THEY EAT IT
10) THEY CAN REDISIGNED REFRIGETIRES BECAUSE IT CAN MAKE YOUR FOODD LAST LONGER IN IT DONT WAST
11) PEOPLE USE TO MUCH WATER IN THAT WATER CAN BE USE FOR ENRGY FOR HOMES
12) THE TEA KETTLES CAN BE REDISIGN SO IT CAN HOLD ONE CUP OF WATER AND IT WONT GO TO WASTE
13) CELLS HONES ARE HUGE PROBLEMS BECAUSE PEOPLE THROW AWAY THE BATTERYS IN OLD BATTERYS CAN BLOW UP
14) I AGREE THAT CONSUMPIOTN IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM BECAUSE PEOPLE TROW AWAY LOTS OF STUFF THAT CAN BE US
15) HTIS HEALPS ME BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED O STOP ROWING AWAY STUFF THAT CAN BE US IN BE MORE GREEN
16) THIS TED TALK HELPS BECUASE I WONT LET PEOPLE THROW AWAY STUFF THAT CAN REUSED IN THE FUTRE
1.this helps take up a lot of trees, and plastic bags don't take up a lot of trees
ReplyDelete2.because it has to be prevented and when it is it helps the areas out.
3.the define word means that the something is mad up and it's not real.
4.the problem is that it comes from people and it's not proof or evidence.
5.she is different because she says how things can be in active use of work.
6.life circle is when we think Or we think that we Think something is real.
7.This houses with Our sustainability Because
People well take care of their environment.
8.This because things that comes from our
nature.
9.It could cause worse Less food for people.
10.so that people well wasting food if they do it will cause use of nature.
11.there is too much water In pods in his wasting energy.
12.to Hold more water in 1 cup hopeing people wont be wasting no water.
13.because people are Throwing old phones and Using new phones.
14.it big problem Cause people are Throwing out wast paddocks materials.
15.it helps me because it could help me take down trees and old things like buildings.
16.this helps me get better at lambing my city by being more Ready of laws, technology.
1.Paper bags are worse because we take trees to make them which is bad for the environment. 2.Because eco-friendly needs to be made which help the environment due to production of material. 3.Environmental folklore is when things are made up to have a positive impact on the decisions that are being made by us. 4.The problem with environmental folklore is that it comes from people's views which is not based on scientific proof. 5.Her view on sustainability is different because she talks about how much effort it takes to make the things we need and use. Also tells the toll it puts on the environment and to be sustainable you need to know what your eco friendly products are really are. 6.Life cycle thinking is what we picture or do with the environment that involves nature. 7.This helps with sustainability because people would learn from their mistakes of how they treat the environment. 8.nature naturally can only biodegrade properly. Not every thing that is deposed goes back into nature it commonly goes on land fills. 9.Refrigerators cause waste because people store plenty of food in which they know they are gonna want to eat. 10.refrigerators should be redesigned to keep food from going stale and prevent people from wasting food because of more use of natural things. 11.Because people put plenty of water in their pots which is being burned for energy and all of that waste of energy could be use to power homes for a long time. 12.electric tea kettles should be redesigned to hold 1 cup of water singles which goes to waste due to people not maintaining it properly. 13.Mobile phones are harmful because people throw their old phones to get new ones which increases the production rate to a maximum rate. 14.I agree that consumption is a problem because lots of people are throwing away products in which they know that its worth something and can be used again in the present. 15.This helps me get the concept by people reusing what they have to make resources they have be more maintained. 16.This Ted helps me to get better at focusing on my city by paying attention to the environment and to see if the technology is a caution to the environment or are taking up to much energy
ReplyDelete1. Paper bags may be worse for the environment because paper has a larger negative impact in the environment much less than plastic. This may be because paper uses more resources and produces more waste than plastic. In addition plastic is even more recyclable.
ReplyDelete2. Eco-materials are not as Eco-friendly as people think because people in society don't really focus on where the resources come from, but only from what they see.
3. Environmental Folklore is when you get a "gut" feeling that what you did was a good choice.
4. The problem with Environmental Folklore as a source of information is that it isn't exactly proven scientifically, but instead is based off of a person's knowledge.
5. The speaker, Leyla Acaroglu view of sustainability is different from the common view of sustainability because she discusses how we should interlock the complex systems in the environment. She says that our society should make better choices in the result of being a stable community.
6. Life cycle assessment or life cycle analysis/thinking is how society contributes to their environment. This may contribute to manufacturing, material extraction, packaging and transportation, product use and finally end of life.
7. Life cycle analysis/thinking can promote sustainability because society should learn how to use the right amount of resources and to make sure the environment is the way they think it should. Keeping the community or city sustainable involves using an adequate amount of resources as well as interlocking those resources to be more Eco-Friendly.
8. Ms. Acarogla bust the myth about biodegradability by discovering that biodegradability is a material property rather than environmental benefit. She states that when something is natural it degrades normally and is naturally released back as carbon dioxide. However, a majority of the natural waste is landfill and is released as methane.
9. According to Ms. Acarogla refrigerators are designed to lead an increase in food waste because the refrigerators are too big, with an average of one cubic foot on average which leads to unused storage in the refrigerator. This causes 40% of fresh food in America to be wasted which equals up to $165 billion per year.
10. Refrigerators should be redesigned to address food waste, by taking the container that holds the vegetables and making it more efficient and useful because it doesn't actually seal the vegetables. The refrigerator should also be smaller with more organized storage.
11. The way electric tea kettles are designed negatively impact the environment because over 65% of the UK admit to over-filling the electric tea kettle, which leads to waste of energy and water. The energy wasted can keep the lights on the street at night to be lit for a night.
12. The electric tea kettles should be redesigned to open up and fill the exact amount of water you need to poor out your drink of tea or coffee.
13. The design of mobile phones are harmful because the production of phones require a lot of resources such as gold, because people throw out there phones rather than recycling.
14. I do agree that consumption is the biggest problem because the amount of consumption is faster than the birth rate and the majority of phones are thrown away for a new update phone, every few months a new phone that everyone wants is introduced.
15. This talk helps me further understand the concept of sustainability because Ms. Acarogla went into detail about how the communities are able to be sustained with the life cycle thinking/analysis.
16. The TED talk helps me better at building my city because it showed me that I should be aware of how things are processed and the resources I should use to build the city.
Paper bags are worst because you cut down trees to make these bags
ReplyDeleteNot everything is Eco-friendly because not everything is made from Eco-material. An environmental folklore is when things made have an impact on something else.
It doesn't show scientific proof.
Life-style thinking is when you want what's best.
Life style thinking can promote sustainability because you want for the better.
The bigger the refrigerator, the more food we buy,the more food we waste
1. Paper bags is worse then plastic for the environment because we use trees for paper and we are destroying forest plastic is bad to but paper bag is worse.
ReplyDelete2. Eco-material aren't Eco friendly as most people the think because Eco has to be mad for the environment to help the community.
3. Environment folklore means that when things are made up to have a good impact to the environment and the community.
4. The problem with environment folklore is that is things people make and there design by people but there not approved by a special person that know a lot about that.
5. The speakers view of sustainability different from the common understand of sustainability because she's says we need to stop frowning things wrong and then she says we should use less things to do better things.
6. Life- cycle is that we use a lot of technology and these things affect the environment it affects the community's and the people.
7. Life-cycle thinking promote sustainability because the people from the community could be aware of what it's doing to the environment for example its damaging the community.
8. The speaker bust the myth about biodegradability is that things that come from natural don't go back She discovered that the natural things don't go into soils they go to land fills.
9. The way the refrigerator are designed lead to increase food waste cause every time a refrigerator gets bigger and seen that happens they put food at the back and they forget that's it's there it even last more then a month, and even that food that is there some took a Long time to grow.
10. The way refrigerator should be designed is the way they in the 90's small but new technology not old cause there gonna better for the people and for the environment.
11. The way the electric tea kettles are designed is a negative impact cause you need 2- 5 cups just to make a cup of tea and that's waste of water and could be used for something else.
12. The way electric tea kettles should be designed to measure the amount of tea your gonna drink and maybe the kettles will have to put just a cup of water to drink one tea cup, In order to not waste water.
13. Current mobile phone design negative impact because
14.
15. This ted talk expand my understand because I didn't know that a refrigerator is a negative impact for increasing food waste.
16. This ted talk could help me build my city because in my city I wouldn't put big refrigerator I'll design small refrigerator but unique to because I wouldn't like my city to have a bad community.

1- The papers bags are bad like worse because it harms the environment when you cut them down.
ReplyDelete2-The things need to prevent like have help out the areas and have to keep a well talk with the environment keep it clean and safe and help it.
3- The folklore is when you have made a impact on the things we do to the areas.
4.The problem is that it comes from the environment people around the area and it's not proofed.
5- She is different because she is telling us that what we need to do and what should everyone have and telling us what are the needs for the people , the environment.
6- The lifecycle is what we need to use it with the areas and environment.
7- The houses are more sustainable because people will have to take care of their areas and the city better.
8. The speaker bust the myth about biodegradability is that things that come from natural don't go back and the natural things don't go into soils they go to landfills.
9-The refrigerators are designed to lead more food in waste because the refrigerators are too big and it takes space and wastes the food.
10- The refrigerators can be designed again because it can make the food not go to waste.
11- The people have been using a lot of water and with that much water in every house it can be used for energy.
12- 12. The electric tea kettles should be designed again to open up and use the same amount of water you need to use for your drink of tea.
13- The cell phones are a problem because people get rid of the phones battery or batteries because it doesn't work but when you can use it by recycling it .
14- I agree that it's a big problems because people don't recycle they just get rid of the things that we can use it again.
15- This ted talk tells me that people should recycle more and don't waste the things can be used in the future in our own life.
16- The Ted-Talks about people should recycle it and in the future for the cities they should defiantly recycle the things can be used again.

1. I think that plastic is worse than paper bags because plastic is harder to decompose and plastic is destroying the environment.
ReplyDelete2. It is good that things are made so support and better the environment.
3.There should be only positive things being inforced into the environment.
4. Someone who may specialize in these subjects will bring good positive things to the world.
5. You should grow from things and not look down upon them.
6. A cycle of life is a processing and decomposing of materials and things from different generation and the process repeats.
7. it promotes a stable environment.
8. Matter and materials that decompose
9. Refrigerators are seeming to increase in size and more engery is being taken up but the viid is staying fresher longer.
10. From refrigerators were made when they were first invented from now it has grew and evolved extemrely and are way different and advance now
11.There are negative and positive impacts when using a tea kettle.
12.The way it is designed is very unique
13.cell phones aren't the best it causes radiation
14. i do agree with what is being said.
15.It will be understood that refrigerator are having a positive and negative effect on society.
16.it will help build and expand the community.

ReplyDeletePAPER PLASTIC IS SO TO DESTROY THE FORESTS
ECO IS FOR THE ENVIRONMENT TO HELP THE COMMUNITY
ENVIRONMENT HAS A POSITIVE IMPACT THAT HAS BEING MADE
THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE ENVIRONMENT THAT MADE PEOPLE THINKS
THE SPEAKERS VIEW IF SUSTAINABLY OF STOPPING WHAT GOES WRONG HAS LESS THINGS TO DO HAVE BETTER THINGS
LIFE CYCLE IS HOW SOCIETY IS A MANUFACTURING HAS TRANSPORTATION PRODUCTS FOR BETTER USED
LIFE CYCLE IS THE RESOURCES THAT TO MAKE SURE THE ENVIRONMENT THEY SHOULD KEEP THE COMMUNITY SUSTAINABLE
NATURE IS EVERYTHING THAT GIES ON THE COMMAND ON THE LAND FILLS
REFGRIGATORS IS TOO SMALL, WITH UNUSED STORAGE OF AMERICA TO BE WASTED
REFRIGRATORS HAS VERY LARGE STORAGE WITH VEGETABLES, DRINKS TO MAKE SMALLER STORAGE
ELECTRICITY HAS NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT USING POWER USE IN THE HOMES
ELECTRIC TEA KETTLES SHOULD BE RESIGNED WITH A WASTE OF TIME HOLDING MORE WATER IN 1 CUP THAT PEOPLE DO NOT WASTE THE USE OF WATER
THAT PEOPLE IS THROWING THE USE OF ELECTRONIC SUCH AS PHONES OLD AND NEW PHONES
THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS IT IS WASTING THE PRODUCTS
YES, IT COULD HEK ME WITH ALOT BY TAKING ALL THE TREES DOWN AND WASTING ENERGY TO THE ENVIRONMENT

1. Paper bags may be worse for the enviorment than plastic bags, because a lot of trees are cut down for paper to be made and this may even lead to deforestization.
ReplyDelete2. Eco material is really any material that has one point come from the earth. So, if you look at it that way than at one point everything has been an eco material. How you use the material is what makes something have a positive impact on the enviorment or a negative one.
3. Enviormental folklore is the the intutive framework for when we make a decision. It's a desiscion that you think is good based on a gut feeling.
4. Enviormental folklore is based on our own experinces and the experinces of others that we've heard of. It isn't based on scientific framework.
5. The speaker believes sustainability can be achieved by individuls making better decisions to have a impact on the overall enviorment. We should learn to do more with less. Usually, people focus more on creating things and buildings that are more sustainable.
6. Life cycle thinking is the beief that everything tha is created goes through life cycle stages and we annalysis these life cycles to figure out how everything we do when producing materials is affecting the enviorment.
7. Life cycle thinking proves that everything we do affects the enviorment. We study the life cycle stages of the materials we produce to see how this effecting the systems and services that make life on Earth possible. It makes people more aware of the personal effect we are having on the enviorment.
8. The speaker busted the myth about biodegradability, because we assume that a material thhat is biodegradable can detroriatee naturally in a landfill. However, this is not true. Natural materials that end up in landfills detoriate and relese methane instead of carbon dioxide which contributes towards climate change. She also discovers that methane from the lanfills can be contained and used for enery instead of fossil fuels.
9. Refrigerators lead to an increase in food waste, because they have been designed to be bigger over the past few years. When people have a very large refrigator they need to buy more food and let it go to waste before they can eat it. People also tend to use the refrigerator crisper draws for fresh produce, but those draws were not designed and are not capable of keeping the produce fresh/crisp.
10. Refrigerators should be redesigned with crisper draws that have better seals to keep produce fresh and the size of the refrigerator overall should be smaller.
11. Electric tea kettles are small and quite often overfilled. The extra energy being used to boil water that is not used in a cup of tea in one day in the U.k. could power all the street lights in Englad for one night.
12. Tea kettles should be redesigned with two resivours and a button that must be pushed to boil the water for one cup. Sincee people are doing the work to boil the water they are more likely to not overfill.
13. Current mobile phones are not being rycled enough. Only 11 % of old phones are being recycled. Valuable materials are in the framework old phones. Old phones that are dumped in Gahna are being pilfered through and burne for valuable materials.
14. I agree that consumption is the biggest problem, because we are consuming more than what we are making. We are also quickly using up our natural resources. We're not doing enough reusing and conserving of materials.
15. It made me realize that sustainability can mean redesigning products in new ways and looking at the way our life stage cycles are impacting the enviorement. It made me realize that I have a personal impact on the enviorment and I should make decisions carefully with the Earth's welllbeing in mind.
16. This TED talk can help me as I build my future city, because it helps me rrecognize the importace of sustainability and recycling. We should conserve our resources and try to redesign things to be more useful.
1. Paper bags might be worse for the environment rather then plastic bags because plastic are not made out of our nature but our paper bags are, we make paper bags with tree so effects the nature.
ReplyDelete2.E-co materials are not as eco-frindly as we think because when you these things we get from nature and not if we get it from nature , we get it from a something else improtant. Everything is important which leads to something else important and so on and so fourth.
3.The word environmental folklore is the little voice that you get in the back of your head or that feeling you get when you do something good.
4.The proble with environmental folklore is that humans like to take it over the top we need to learn how to do less with more.
5.The speakers view is different because she says we have to save energy by the usauge and by the re-designing of things , while sustainablityconforms into society.
6.Life cycle thinking is the fact that with everything that is in a cycle leads to the other and effects the other.
7.Life cycle can promote sustainablity because as you are effeceting one you can effect another in that cycle.
8.She says the only thing that comes from natural nature can be biodegraded , it doesnt always go to landforms.
9.It leads to food waste becasue theyare so big and the bigger the are more space we have which means the more food we buy and the more food we do not use.
10.We design a better refrigerators by changing the way ywe space things and making smaller compartments that are more sealed , so that less food wouldbe able to get wasted.
11.The way tea kettles are designed negaitively impact the enviornment is because they use up too much energy , studies showed that because of the energy they use up so much it could light up a city in england for a whole day.
12.The electric kettle should be redesigned by just making one cup of tea and by not using up so much enrgy , so change the usage.
13.Current Moblie phones impacts the environment negaitively because again thhis litlle device has all this energy that is used up mby billions of people.
14.Yes i agree because if you waste away something because they are in a life cycle you can waste away something else.
15.This expanded my thoughts because it shows that sustainable has a big impact on society , which i can take with me as i get to know the world.
16.This TED talk can help me build my future city because it shows me that eeverything has links and one thing leads to the next.
1)Paper bags are bad because we cut down trees and they end up being wasted
ReplyDelete2)Notevery product is Eco friendly because it takes certain products to create others.
3)Enviromental folklore is when someone makes up a story to make a positive impact on the community.
4)the problem with environmental folklore is that its bias.there is no scientific proof.
5)she talks about the tolls of what products are made up of. She talks about how creating certain goods take materials from things we need and waste them.
6)the life cycle is something that has ti do with the environment. The life cycle is from when something is created ti when it perishes.
7)this will be helpful because environmental awareness would go up and people would care more about their community.
8)not every substance decomposes naturally anything man made will not demcompose naturally.
9)refrigerators harbor all wasted food. People buy and store more than they can eat and use.
10) they should be redesigned in order ti make food last longer. They should also he almaller so people learn to buy the stuff they need.
11)when people boil food they use more water then what is actually needed. This is a waste of water that can have other purposes.
12) the water kettle forbtes should he redesigned to be smaller in order to use less water.
13)people buying new phones is bad. They need to be in less production but because people are constantly glued to their phones they are in high production.
14) i agree that consumption is the biggest issues in life. Everyone takes everything that they don't need it great surplus and it gets wasted.
15) this helps me realize howbro get things that I need instead of what I want.
16) this talk is going to help me cut down on my production rates and regulate my peoples buying habits.
1. Paper bags are made out of paper. Paper is made out of pulp. Pulp is a mushy substances found in a tree. Killing trees are bad.
ReplyDelete2. People don't care where eco-materials come from. Only from what they see and hear from the media.
3. Environmental Folklore, the feeling you get when you think you did something good for the environment
4. Environmental Folklore, as the name suggests, is just folklore. Hasn't actually been proven.
5. Ms. TED Talker believes we should make better choices, for a more stable and sustainable community. I make good choices all the time.
6. Life-cycle thinking, is a different approach to becoming mindful of how everyday life has an impact on the environment.
7. We, as a whole, should learn when and when not to use the right amount of resources. We should not be wasteful, and we should not litter.
8. Biodegradability does not benefit the environment whatsoever. It is simply a material property. These things don't come from nature.
9. Fridges are too big. You leave some good food in the back too long and eventually you'll forget about it. That food will expire, then you have to throw that nasty, musty thing away. I've done it 20 times.
10. We need to start using mini-fridges, so we don't have to be so wasteful. Mini-fridges are semi-portable so it's a win/win.
11. Electric kettles uses so much energy and power. Not only it's burning a hole in your pocket, that energy could of been used for something important. Like a computer.
12. I'm no kettle expert, but I believe it should have an on and off button. Not the best answer, but I tried my best.
13. Phones require many resources to get produced. You don't understand how much money it takes to create a phone. It's a lot.
14. I agree, our world is full of many consumers. Going back to the phone, these things take many resources to create. A new iPhone get's produced every other year, they always get bought by consumers, and phones are expensive to create.
15. I have seen the light. I will clean out my fridge on a weekly basis. Matter of fact, I just pre-ordered a mini-fridge for £128.84. Custom made.
16. I cannot waste my funds on mealiness things. My people will need to man up and do the do.
1. Paper bags is worse then plastic for the environment because we use trees for paper and we are destroying forest plastic is bad to but paper bag is worse.

12. Although im not a kettle expert, but I believe it should have an on and off button.
1.) Paper bags might be bad for the environment because paper is made from trees. We harm the trees. Paper is coming from nature (environment, trees). We are harming it, yet plastic doesn't come from nature. Plastic is made.
ReplyDelete2.) Eco material aren't Eco friendly as most people think they are due to Eco having to be mad for the environment to help the community.
3.) Environment folklore means when things are made up to have a good impact on the environment which is part of the community.
4.) The conflict with environment folklore is that things people create, other specialists do not approve those creations, since they are specialists into that specific topic, idea, or item.
5.) The speaker's view of sustainability varies from the common understating of sustainability because Leyla Acaroglu states that we need to stop getting upset over things. She also states that we should use less things to do better things.
6.) A life cycle is when we use a lot of technology these things affect the environment , community (including its people as well).
7.) Life cycle thinking offers sustainability because the people o these communities could be aware of what its doing to the environment. It is harming the environment in the communities.
8.) The speaker bust the myth about biodegradability is that things that come from nature and don't go back. She also discovered that the things that are natural don't go into soils, they go to the land fills.
9.) The way refrigerators are designed leads to an increase of food waste. This is what it is because every time a refrigerator gets bigger in size, and is seen, that happens. They put food at the back and they forget that, it has been there over the past month. And some of those foods took a long period of time to grow.
10.) The way I think that refrigerators should be designed is the way they had in the past. I think that more technology should be included but in a small size of a fridge. It should be like the old ones but shouldn't be the old one, it should be something similar to it. If it was the old one it wouldn't be good or the people or the environment.
11.) The electric Tea kettles are designed in a negative impact because you need at least 2-6 cups just to make 1 cup of tea. That is a waste of water. That can be used for another purpose.
12.) The way the Tea kettles should be designed is by measuring the amount of tea your going to drink and maybe the kettles will have to put just a cup of water to drink one tea cup, in order not to waste water.
13.) Cellular phones is a big problem. It has a negative impact because people get rid of the phone's battery because it doesn't work, yet you are still able to recycle them.
14.) I agree that its a big problem because people aren't recycling. They are just throwing things away, but we can use them over and over again.
15.) This TED talk tells me that people should start recycling more. It also helps me know about how my refrigerator has a negative impact because of food waste.
16.) This TED talk can help me with my final project because it informed me that I will need a lot of recycling bins than regular garbage. It also tells me that my refrigerator cusses a lot of food wastes. S I have to use everything in a mature way.

1) Paper bags destroys the forest plastic doesn't.
ReplyDelete2) Eco-materials are not as eco-friendly as most people think because people only care about the product not where it comes from. Not everything is "eco-friendly".

12) Electric tea kettle should be redesigned to address this problem by holding only 1-5 cups of water. one is too small.
13) Current mobile phone design negatively impact the environment by causing radiation and recycling batteries can be good.
14)I agree that consumption is a problem because people are throwing away products that can be reused again.
15) Not only can land be reused but so can objects. In addition water should not be wasted.
16) it can help reduce reuse and recycle.
1. paper bags are worse than plastic bags, because plastic are not made out of our nature but our paper bags are, we make paper bags with tree so effects the nature.

1) Paper bags are worse for the environment than plastics bags because trees are cut down to make the bags which can lead to further more deforestation.
ReplyDelete2) Some eco-materials aren’t as eco-friendly as most people think because for example even though paper bags are biodegradable if it goes to landfill with less oxygen it will be harder to break down and cause more mayhem gases to be released.
3) Environmental folklore means creating positive stories on the impacts of the community.
4) The problem with environmental folklore as a source of information is because it’s not based on scientific framework it’s based on people’s opinions.
5) The speaker’s view of sustainability is different from the common understanding of sustainability because she talks about how certain products don’t really work properly and rather than save it ends up wasting.
6) Life-cycle thinking means in believing in that everything that’s created goes through life cycle stages from the environment.
7) Life-cycle thinking can promote sustainability shows us how we effect the environment, the materials we produce shows us how we effect the environment making people be more aware on the environment.
8) The speaker bust the myth about biodegradability by saying that not all biodegradability will decompose and isn’t good but also that it’s even worse than non-biodegradable.
9) The way refrigerators are designed lead to increase of food waste because of its bigger size it allows people to get more food than you really need and after time you’ll forget and it’ll rote.
10) Refrigerators should be redesigned to address food waste and build a smaller model for less clutter.
11) The way electric tea kettles are designed negatively impact the environment because people end up boiling more water than they really need only for themselves cause to waste water.
12) Electric tea kettle should be redesigned to address this problem to redesign smaller cups to limit the use of water.
13) Current mobile phone design negatively impacts the environment because people keep buying new phones and not recycling their old phones. Also some gold is found in phones causes people to burn them causing air pollution.
14) I agree consumption is the biggest problem because there is more consuming more than what we are making, we should start surplusing more food, reuse and conserve materials.
15) This talk did expand my understanding of the concept of sustainability on redesigning materials to work better.
16) The premise of this TED talk helped me to build my “future city” by constructing things that won’t go to waste in the future.
1. Paper bags may be worse than plastic bags for the environment because take make them we have to take down trees which are important for our environment.
ReplyDelete2. Eco-materials aren’t as eco-friendly as we think because of what was taken down to make these materials.
3. Environmental folklore is a feel of making the right decision.
4. The problem with environmental folklore as a source of information is it comes from people’s experience, which is not based on anything proven scientifically.
5. This speaker’s view of sustainability is different from the common understanding of sustainability by the speaker talks about how people should interlock the complex systems in the environment.
6. Life-cycle thinking is when you imagine what you do with the environment that includes nature.
7. Life-cycle thinking could promote sustainability by people would become more aware how they hurt the environment.
8. The speaker busted the myth about biodegradability by finding out it was a material property instead of helping out the environment. She says when something is natural it degrades normally and is naturally released back as carbon dioxide, but most of the natural waste is landfill and is released as methane.
9. According to the speaker the way refrigerators are designed can lead to increase food waste because refrigerators are too big, the average of one cubic foot leads to unused storage in the refrigerator. Which causes 40% of fresh food in the U.S to be wasted every year.
10. Refrigerators should be redesigned to not address food waste by making food last longer and should be smaller with a better way to organize food in the refrigerator.
11. The way electrical tea kettles are designed to negatively impact the environment by more than 65% of the UK has admitted to over filling the electric tea kettle, which leads to wasted energy the water could’ve been used for to keep lights on the streets lit at night.
12. Electrical tea kettles should be redesigned to address this problem by to open up and fill the exact amount of water you’d need to make tea.
13. The current mobile phone design negatively impacts the environment because of people just simply throw out there old phones and buy new ones and the demands for phone production is very high which leads to electrical waste.
14. I agree and disagree because while it helps the economy it weakens the environment. It weakens the environment because it leads to waste, which can pollute our environment. Though people may say it’s a big problem for our environment others can say it balances out and helps our economy, sure it definitely can lead to waste. But if people stop buying then the economy will drop.
15. This ted talk expanded my understanding of the concept of sustainability by cutting down on hurting the environment people have to start using nature more conservatively and reuse what they still have left to do what they need instead of throwing materials away and buying what you’re not going to use all of and start of the cycle of wasting.
16. This premise of this TED talk could help me as I build my future city by becoming more aware of how things are processed and recourses I should use to build for my city and reuse instead of wasting.
1. Paper bags may be worse for the environment because paper has a way bigger negative impact in the environment much less than plastic. This 8.She says the only thing that comes from natural nature can be biodegraded , it doesnt always have to be on a landforms.
ReplyDelete9.It wastes food becasue there huge and the bigger they are, the more space we have which means the more food we buy and the more food we dont use.
10.We design a better refrigerators by changing the way everything is stored so less food would be wasted.
11.The way tea kettles are designed negaitively impact the enviornment because t studies are saying, that because of the energy they use up so much it could light up a city in england for a whole day. This explains that tea kettles use way to much energy a day.
12.The electric kettle should be redesigned by just making one cup of tea instead of using so much energy.
13.Current Moblie phones impacts the environment negaitively because mobile phones also use alot of poewr too. Plus millions of people own cell phones.
14.Yes i agree because if you throw away something thats in a life cycle , your throwing somthing else away in a life cycle.
15.This expanded my thoughts because it shows how much energy we used that hurts our ecosystem/society.
16.This TED talk can help me build my future city because it shows me that eeverything counts on one another to work out for a city. It qlso shows me right for wrong for my city to bulid.s true because paper produces more waste than plastic.
2. Eco-materials are not as Eco-friendly as people think because people in hear eco and thinks its healthy, but nobody provides for it and gives off sometines unhealthy resources
3. Environmental Folklore is when you get a good feeling that what you did was a good choice.
4. The problem with Environmental Folklore as a source of information is its based off of a person's knowledge and not proven scientifically.
5. The speaker, Leyla Acaroglu view of sustainability is different from the common view of sustainability because she discusses how our society should make better choices forva better community.
6. Life cycle assessment or life cycle analysis/thinking is how society and people contributes to their environment. This contributes to packaging transportation and etc.
7. Life cycle thinking can promote sustainability because society should learn how to use the right amount of resources to help the enivorment.
1) Paper bags are definitely worse for the environment because in order to make the paper a lot of trees were cut down, but don't get me wrong plastic is still a bit bad but its more of a easy recyclable item.
ReplyDelete2) Eco-friendly and Eco-materials are two different things people don't really understand where the Eco-materials come from and the resources being used.
3) An environmental folklore is the feeling when you did something right or made a good choice.
4) The reason we call these gut feelings environmental folklore is that its a person word rather than being actually scientifically proven.
5) Leyla Acaroglu idea of sustainability is not a common one because she feels that we need to interlock the environment complex system and in order for a sustainable life our society should act right.
6) The life cycle thinking is society that contributes to the environment.
7) This cycle thinking can promote sustainability so our society should learn how to use the right amount of resources to make the environment the best they can.
8) Acarogla talked about the myth of biodegradability by saying that its a material property rather than a environmental benefit.
9) Acarogla feels that refrigerators are designed to lead a increase in waste because they are too big with a average of one cubic foot.
10) Refrigerators should be designed to address food waste by taking the container which holds vegetables and making it better by making it actually seal to keep the vegetables fresh.
11) Tea kettles are designed with a negative impact on the environment because 65% of the UK admits to over filling of electric tea kettle which leads to a waste of energy and water.
12) Electric tea kettles have to be redesigned to open and fill the exact amount of water in order to drink coffee or tea.
13) Design of mobile phones are harmful because in order to produce them a lot of resources are used.
14) Consumption really does have a big part with the environmental issues because everybody wants to keep up with the times and have the "new" item, so they buy and used which means more resources are being used.
15) This TED talk helped understand that's its not only pollution that effects the environment there's many other reasons involved that a lot of people don't know about.
16) Also, this TED talk can help me because I can I think what resources can I use instead of the ones being used today.
1. The papers bags are bad like worse because it harms the environment when you cut them down.
ReplyDelete2. eco-materials not as eco-friendly as most people think because there should be only positive things being enforced into the environment.
3. Environmental Folklore is when you get a "gut" feeling that what you did was a good choice.
4. The problem with environmental folklore is that humans like to take it over the top we need to learn how to do less with more.
5. A cycle of life is a processing and decomposing of materials and things from different generation and the process repeats.
6. Life cycle assessment or life cycle analysis/thinking is how society contributes to their environment. This may contribute to manufacturing, material extraction, packaging and transportation, product use and finally end of life.

ReplyDelete1 – Paper bags are worse for the environment than plastic bags because in order to get paper bags you have to cut down trees.
2 – They aren’t as eco-friendly as most people think because instead of people actually looking up to see where the materials come from and what they’re made out of they automatically assume its eco-friendly.
3 - Environment folklore is when the things we do have a good impact on the society.
4 – The problem with Environment folklore is that none of it can be scientifically proven that it is per say ‘good’ for the environment.
5 – Her view of sustainability is different because she talks about our decisions and how they should be made better for the community.
6 – Life style thinking is when we know how we contribute to the environment.
7 – Life style thinking can promote sustainability by learning the ways of the environment and knowing exactly what to do in order to help it.
8 – She exposes the fact that natural things do not simply go back to natural things like soil they end up in things like landfills.
9 – Refrigerators are unnecessarily large and make people buy things they do not need so in the end there food goes to waste.
10 - They can be redesigned to be smaller and hold less food so that the human ‘consumption’ rate goes down and people stop wasting food.
11 – Many people over fill the tea kettle which zaps and wastes more energy and water which can be used for other things such as keeping lights on in your home or outside.
12 – A small beeper should go off when the kettle is close to the total fill zone so people can make the perfect amount of tea.
13 – The production of mobile phones because they take away a lot of natural resources and waste them , and when you cannot use a mobile phone anymore, instead of recycling them people throw them out.
14 – Consumption is a great problem and I believe when you do not know your limits on consumptions you are the biggest threat there is.
15 –
16 – This TED will help me build my future city by helping me remember bigger and more isn't always better and that knowing my limits will help me go far.
1. Paper bags may be worse for the environment because in order to get the paper to make the bags, you have to cut down trees.
ReplyDelete2. Eco-materials are not as eco-friendly as most people think because people don’t pay attention to where the materials come from. They come from the economy we’re trying to save.
3. Environmental folklore is when you feel like you’ve done something good for your community and you’ve made an impact of it.
4. The problem with Environmental folklore as a source of information is that it isn't a scientific fact. Instead is based off of a person's own thoughts
5. The speaker believes sustainability can be achieved by individuals making better decisions to have an impact on the overall environment. We should learn to do more with less. Usually, people focus more on creating things and buildings that are more sustainable.
6. Life cycle thinking is the fact that with everything that is in a cycle leads to the other and effects the other.
7. How can life-cycle thinking promote sustainability? Explain. Life-cycle thinking can promote sustainability because environmental awareness would go up and people would care more about their COMMUNITY
8. Ms. Acarogla bust the myth about biodegradability by discovering that biodegradability is a material property rather than environmental benefit. She states that when something is natural it degrades normally and is naturally released back as carbon dioxide. However, a majority of the natural waste is landfill and is released as methane.
9. THE REFRIGERATORS are designed to lead more food in waste because the refrigerators are too big and it takes space and wastes the food.
10. Refrigerators should have a smaller design so people won’t take advantage of the extra space and only buy what’s completely necessary.
11. The way electric tea kettles are designed negatively impact the environment because when people boil food they use more water then what is actually needed. This is a waste of water.
12. Electric tea kettles can be redesigned by putting a unit of measurement on the side of kettle so people can only put the amount of water they need inside the kettle instead of wasting water.
13. The design of mobile phones is harmful because the production of phones requires a lot of resources such as gold, because people throw out there phones rather than recycling.
14. I agree that it's a big problems because people don't recycle they just get rid of the things that we can use it again.
15. This talk helps me further understand the concept of sustainability because Ms. Acarogla went into detail about how the communities are able to be sustained with the life cycle thinking/analysis.
16. This TED talk is going to help me build my future city because it shows me I should cut down on my production rates and regulate my peoples buying habits.
1. pape bags are worse than plastic because it is mad out of trees and to get them we need to cut our trees down.
ReplyDelete2. eco material isn't eco friendly sometimes because it has to be made from the environment to help the community.
3. environment folklore means that when things are made up of a good impact to the community.
4. the problem with the folklore is that people designs aren't approved by the special people.
5. the speakers think that we should stop frowning things wrong
6. life cycle we use a lot of technology and it it bad for our environment and it affects the people.
7. life cycle promotes sustainability the people of the community could be aware of what it is doing to the environment.
8. the speaker bought out the myth of biodegradability it is that the things we get from natural resources we don't get back.
9. they believe that refrigerators cause food waste because we put food in the back forget its there and it goes bad.
10. the refrigerators should be designed like the 90's small but new advancements.
11.the electric tea kettle are designed in a negative imp at because you need 2-5 cups of water just to make a cup of tea and i think that is a waste of water.
12.the way the kettles should be designed is to measure how much your going to drink and that will be then it will tell you how much water to use.
