Answer the following
four questions respectfully, thoughtfully and honestly:
1. How is the summer school curriculum different from the curriculum you experience during the regular school year?
2. What was the most
interesting thing you learned in summer school? Explain.
3. What was your biggest accomplishment during summer school? Explain.
4. What did you find
to be challenging about summer school? Explain.
5. If you could give
one piece of advice to another Emerson student about summer school, what would
it be? Explain.
6. If you could give
one piece of advice to the Emerson summer school staff about how to structure summer school differently next year, what would you tell us? Explain.
7. If you could recommend a topic for next year's summer school, what would that be and why?
8. How could you incorporate English, History, Math and Science into that topic? Explain.
1. The curriculum in summer school is diffrent from regular school becasue the work is more easy and the home work have to be done online but regular school more hard because its 10 months in school and more kids.
ReplyDelete2) The most interesting thing i learned in summer school how citys and people throw away stuff that can reused and they can rebuild bulidings with old stuff
3) My biggest accomplishment in summer school is i was doing good on my homework in makeing good grades on my class work and im happy for that
4) What i think was most challenging during summer school was the graphing and math and ploting the points on the graph
5) If i could give one piece of advice to another emerson student it would be dont never come to summer school becasue you have to work hard every day to pass summer school
6) If i could give any advice to the emerson summer school staff about how to structure summer school diffrently next year it will be they sholud change to diffrent ways how they run the summer school change the time
7) If i can recommen a topic for next years summer school it will be immigration
8) I could incorporate english, history, math, science , i will do the same thing we did this year in summer school just break everything down
1- the summer school curriculum is different because it is harder than I thought it would be.
ReplyDelete2- the most interesting is how urbanization affects most places and how they can be revitalized.
3- my biggest accomplishment is that I got really good grades on my class work and I did these TED talks.
4- what I found to be the most challenging is that the final big project because it was a whole lot of work to do.
5- one piece of advice that I would give any other student is "DON GET SUMMER SCHOOL, ITS THE WORST".
6- I would tell you guys to maybe do something different or do another topic instead of urbanization.
7- a topic I would recommend is I don't know leadership.
8- I could incorporate it by saying do what you guys did this year, like break it up into sections and say it should be done.
1. The Summer School curriculum is different from the normal school year curriculum that we experience because we have a full day of straight school without breaks and we had to take classes that We know I didn't fail but just to get one project done.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned in Summer School was from the TED talks that we did because they talk about thing that are happening in real life.
3>my biggest accomplishment was that my map for the project came out alright.
4>actually building out your city because you have to have a plan before you start building.
5>if u could give advice I would say do all your work and think a bout the long term the next time you don't wanna study for that test or do that homework.
6>I would tell the staff to let the students get like 3 days to start learning about the topic then get one day to see an example and do a test session.
7>if I were to recommend a topic I would choose a food related one to make it fun but educational at the same time.
8>I could incorporate math by using the total measurements for how much ingredients you need and the history in which people in the past have had/created, English part would be a step by step explanation on what you did,the science would be what kind of minerals do all the seasonings come from.
1.summer school only has like two weeks of summer school and it is longer than the school year.
ReplyDelete2.the most interesting thing I learn in summer school is that we had to build cities.
3.my biggest accomplishment is that I had to learn how to build my city.
4.the challenging part was to do so many h.w online.
5.i would say to another student that summer school is harder and not good for you.
6.i would tell the staff that summer school is easier to pass if you get your work done.
7.i would create another topic about life action because ill tell how life is in the world and discuss it.
8.ill include it into the topic bye getting each of them an idea of how to be inside the topic.
1 The curriculum is different because summer school you have to work as a team to get things done and in regular school you are on your own taking your notes by your self.
ReplyDelete2- the most interesting thing I learned about summer school is no matter how much you think your work is don't it wont stop until it is done right.
3- my biggest accomplishment in summer school was getting this project done with seconds to spare
4- the most challenging thing to me was getting to school on time
5- I would say just say to get your work done and to pay attention.
6- I wouldn't change nothing because I think everything was planned in a fair way to students and staff
7-my topic would be about trying to make a company that will last a long time like wal mart and target
8- I would teach people how to be young entrepreneurs
dealing with money and looking back at the way other business where built and how to run a company and paying out bills for electricity and gas
1. The Summer School curriculum is different from the normal school year curriculum that we experience because we have a full day of straight school without any breaks aside from lunch. In addition, all the classes we took all had the same focus on urbanization.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned in Summer School was from the TED talks that we did for homework because the questions asked about real life situations that happen today. The TED talk discussed things that were invented that can be changed as well as communities that should be changed for the better
3. My biggest accomplishment for Summer School was creating the map with the coordinates and equations. We had to draw a map of our city using the quadratic equations that we learned in Ms. Cano's math class.
4. What I found challenging about Summer School was having to wake up at 5:00 am every morning and come to school tired with 8 hours of class without any breaks.
5. If u could give advice to another student about Summer School I would tell that student to do all of their work and think about what how much better you could enjoy your Summer.
6. If I could tell the staff a piece of advice for Summer School in the future I would tell the staff to shorten the days of Summer School, extend the Lunch Time and shorten the class hours.
7. If I were to recommend a topic for Summer School next year then it would be a class on building and arts and craft for projects. If we are going to do a project then we should have a crafting class on it
8. I would incorporate Math into the subject by learning the measurements of the wood or what ever we are crafting to build. I would incorporate Science into the Subject by learning what types of wood or crafting materials we use and how they are made. I would incorporate history into this by learning how the material was originated and science by learning how we used these materials in the past.
1.the summer school is different because it is harder and not easier.
ReplyDelete2.the most interesting thing I learn was how people are living in new York.
3.my biggest accomplishment was the h.w online.
4.i found the most challenging thing is the h.w online of how many
questions are there.
5.one pieace of evidence ill give is that summer school is tuff to pass.
6.i would tell you that things well be different
7.the topic I would give is a thing about life solutions.
8.i could incorporate it by telling them things wat to do.
1. The curriculum in summer school is different. The curcluim has been based on one overall topic which is, Urbanization. The school day is longer and we're learning about as much as possible about the chosen topic in two weeks. We get homework and complete a lot of worksheets than at the end of the two weeks, we should have a complete project on Urbanization and designing a city.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned in summer school is about the various new ideas for making a city more sustainable. Such as, pedestrian malls.
3. My biggest accomplishment during summer school was completing the project on designing a city.
4. What I found to be challenging was completing the project on designing a city. It was not easy to complete a project in four days. I specifically, found making the map of the city and writing the essay for global challenging.
5. Listen during class, take notes, and do all the homework!
6. My only piece of advice would be to give students a full week to complete the project on the chosen topic.
7. The topic I would recommend is Immigration in America.
8. For English, students could write a narrative in the point of view of a immigrant. Students could learn all about immigration and it's effects on America. A essay could be written on whether or not you are for immigration in America and if you believe that America is becoming a melting pot, etc. Students could graph statistics on Immigration in America. Like, how many immigrants are unemployed? For the science part of the project the students could research and write about environmental effects of Immigration in America. Is the rising population negatively affecting America's environment? That would be how I would incorporate the four topics.
1. The summer school curriculum is different from the curriculum I experienced during a regular school year because in summer school you get to be in a class with sophomore , junior and seniors and we all learn the same topic and there's no brakes in summer school only for 30 min but the rest of the time getting you class work done and getting good grades.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting I learned in summer school is the different invention that there starting to come up with to make the environment and community's better, the things there doing to keep the environment clean.
3. My biggest accomplishment durning summer school is creating our city because we learned a lot of thing from the ted talks we had every night we even include those Ideas in our city because we think It was gonna help our environment.
4. The things I found challenging during summer school Is writhing a essay for the project cause I lack on the information and I lack on explaining.
5. If I could give one piece of advice to a Emerson student I'll tell them that In summer school you have no brakes plus you got to wake up early in the morning and there's a video to watch at night and answer question you would rather spend your summer in another place.
6. If I could give advice to a summer school staff to do next year is that there should be more group work to help each other cause sometimes the students have trouble and need help.
7. If I would recommend the topic for the next summer school it would be in how the construction works build a house and they would build there own stable buildings.
8. This would involve math cause they will have to measure things like wood and il will have to involve English cause you will have to know what a specific word means and it would involve science because you will have to know what's it's made of .

Summer school is different from the regular school year because 1) it's ONLY TWO WEEKS 2) ITS DURING THE SUMMER 3) we learn about two and a half years worth of stuff and we don't watch movies 2 hours a day. The most interesting thing I learned in summer school is the things I heard throughout the TED talks it kind of makes me wish that we use that in college. My biggest accomplishment in summer was being able to work in a group project. Many people who know me also know that group projects......projects ARE NOT MY THING, I just can't do it. But I can honestly say I enjoyed working with the guys I had in my group it was cool Pierre and Alston. Working with them made me think twice about my whole thing about not liking group work/projects. FOR ALL YOU FUTURE EMERSON STUDENTS PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO NOT JOIN SUMMER SCHOOL . YES ITS SHORTER THAN THE REGULAR YEAR BUT ITS ALSO HARDER!!!
ReplyDelete1. the summer school curriculum is different from regular school, because here we had no choice to do work, or show up. It was also more stressful
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned in summer school, was about cloud Nine. I found out people lived in bubbles, to survive.
3. My biggest accomplishment, was not getting kicked out
4. The project was the most challenging part of summer school. It consisted of 4 subjects, so that was a lot of work to get done.
5. for the Emerson students: just go to class, do your work, and don't give your teachers a hard time. You'll regret it if you do. Summer school isn't fun, so don't wish to come here.
6. I would tell the Emerson staff members, to ease and lighten up. Making everyone feel annoyed & miserable, isn't going to make anyone do work. The work was structured ok, but there was too much yelling in a day.
7. A topic I would recommend, is global warming.
8. You can incorporate English, history, and math into global warming, by paying attention to the teacher.
1.The summer school curriculum is different from the curriculum I experienced during a regular school year because in summer school you learn as much as you can and make sure you know what your doing to pass summer school such as projects, and classwork, and homework. 2.The most interesting thing I learned in summer school is that urbanization can affect people in many ways such as placing buildings on vacant spots for people to go everyday. 3.My biggest accomplishment this year was to finish our project and get good grades on my online homework. 4.I found the math to be challenging on the project because it was really hard for me to calculate the problems in my head and on calculator. 5.1 peice of advice to other Emerson students for summer school is do your work, listen to teachers, and see how far you advanced in summer school once you finished it. 6.If I could give advice to a summer school staff to do next year is to be a little easy on the students and change the topic to something else. 7.The topic for summer school that I would recommend is about sports because many people need to keep their body fit in sports so they can perform better. 8.This would involve history because many people would want to know where the sport originated from, english because people would want to know the definition of a specific word, math because many people would want to know how much athletes get paid, and science because people would want to know what the sports people play in are made of.
ReplyDelete1. The summer school curriculum is different from the curriculum I experienced during a regular school year because in summer school you work with all grades and you cover up a lot of interesting topics.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting I learned in summer school is the ways that a city can be made.
3. My biggest accomplishment during summer school is creating my own city and comparing it to urbanization.
4. The things I found challenging during summer school Is understanding how an urbanization and an society can be developed.
5. If I could give one piece of advice to a Emerson student I'll tell them that In summer school you learn but also work your absolute hardest so you won't have to come back.
6. If I could give advice to a summer school staff to do next year is that all groups should work together.
7. If I would recommend the topic for the next summer school it would be how does people affect society and the environment.
8.How could you incorporate English, History, Math and Science into that topic because English would be why people do the things that they do to affect the environment, history would be how long has this been going on and how did it develop for people to have affect on an environment, math would be a bar graph on the population since new inventions started coming out such as technology, science would be what type of chemicals in food etc keep us alive in order to still have an affect on society and the environment and does chemicals really keep us alive.

Every circulaam is very different than others alot. The summer school circulaam is very different than i thought it would everything is strict write for everything u do about the amount of work
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting I learned in summer school never take anything for granted do work, pass in school never come back to summer school
My biggest accomplishment is this final project for summer school is that i actually did this project thought it was mad work not going to this taht is why i am in the first place i hate doing project either with myself or group. But know have a good different opinion on this do it on time, do your work ,not last minute that is what i did for the final project for math honestly failed have summer school cheerish the time u have a project with partners. Most important thing always do your work not last minute.
I found the math part so difficult in this final project graphing to math a map. It is the amount of work we did for math to put all that together with all the other subjects to put in the final project. That is what i did not graphing on the math project did not did not show work.
1 piece of an advice do all ur work, listen to all your teachers, pass all ur classes so u don't have to go to summer school at all so u don't have it. You should not have summer school at all no summer school
A final advice to the staff try to include in fun activities. They should have trips since we have summer school fir only 2 weeks every Tuesday, Wednesday $ 10 each
The topic for summer school i would recommend is have gym some people may have failed that through the year. So they could have that for credit Recovery later that year should have gym with all the community after lunch for 30 minutes. It is recommended for that it is good to have physical education.
By telling the things you should do that is the thing. That people want to know a specific meaning to a word such in the topic English
1. Everything in summer school moves quickly whether you understand or not, everything in regular school gets dummed down and repeated fr those who don't listen and those who dont learn it the first time.ugh so annoying.
ReplyDelete2.The most interesting thing i learned about was information from the ted talks. especially ms khans church that had solar pannels.
3. The project was my biggest accomplishment
4.i found having four classes ina row was difficult
5.my advice to students would be that summer school is worth it for the 2 credits.
6. my advice would be for students to not create a model its too messy also i would allow students to eat during class work beacuse 8 hours is a long time when most of us dont eat the schhoooolie and also were like prisoners not ablee to order food. what if the teachers couldnt eat food for eight hours. ordering food everyday shhhhessssh.
7. one topic i would suggest is creating your ideal college campus.
8. you can incorporate this into every subject easily.no need to explain its self explanatory.(similar ideas to this project.)
1)in summer school everything is fast pace but the work is easy there is just a lot of it. In regular school there is a lot more people making it hard to learn and keep up and the material is harder.
ReplyDelete2)the most interesting thing I learned this year is how much humans effect the world in various ways.
3)my biggest accomplishment was definitely the project we put a lot of time into the project and made sure all of our written work explained everything.
4) the math part of the project was really hard but after figuring it out everything else came easily.
5)my advice to the students next year is don't be there again next year it sucks having ti give up two weeks of your summer. But other then that stay in class and don't drop out of it or you'll never graduate high school.
6)my adice for the teachers is if you make them do a similar project give the kids a bigger box and an extra day because my group didn't finish the build we were more concentrated on the map and the written parts then the actual build.
7) maybe instead of a city maybe design an eco friendly house. That would've been better for such a small surface to build on.
8) its the same idea on a smaller more reasonable canvas.you can't build a city on the top of box the size of a laptop. But a house definitely.

ReplyDelete1 – Summer school curriculum I believe goes into more detail and moves slower than the school curriculum, it’s more interesting and it makes you put your mind to use more than you normally would.
2 – The most interesting thing I learned in Summer school was the whole demographic and layout of some past societies and how our own society runs.
3 – Finishing that project
4 – Understanding math had to be the most challenging part of summer school
5 – When you answer questions its best to write that you believe is the best answer, most of the time you’ll be right.
6 – We understand we’re in summer school and that we’re privileged to only have a two week summer school but we’re still human and would like a lighter load.
7 – The focus on Technology and how it changes our world. Good and Bad.
8 – English, how older people feel as the world changes around them – personal accounts. History, when the first major technological advancements starting happening and who helped/created them. Math, the codes used in so many of the computers and cellphones used today, Science the effects good and bad that technology has on us and the environment.
This summer school was different from other because it's shorter but it's a lot of work at once.
ReplyDeleteThe most inserting thing I learned when I went on the trip.
The biggest accomplishment I think was attending everyday
The biggest challenge for me was the homework n working in groups cause some people don't do anything
You don't wanna end up in summer it's not the best thing u should be doing the summer.
I recommend talking about how teenagers are under stress and have to deal with situations at this time etc..
You can incorporate it because it takes up time
Honor Walker
ReplyDelete1. this years summer school curriculum was more interesting than a regular school years curriculum being that we accomplished so much in such a short time span. the city subject was so interesting and i had alot of fun learning more in depth about it
2. the most interesting thing i learned in summer school was just the city subject itself. i never fully went deep into the topic because it always seemed like an understood topic. but having to be in charge of a city and help satisfy the needs of our citizens then it makes you realize exactly how much really goes into a city. even to the little details like if the statue of liberty should be in the middle of the city, or if a prison should be housed in a residential area.
3. my biggest accomplishment in summer school was finishing the 3D model - it was sooo aggravating and so time consuming iam super happy my group finished
4. what i found to be challenging about summer school is the group work. i didnt know any of the people i worked with these two weeks and to be honest when it comes to my grade i get very personal so i was glad my group actually took the work seriously and we were able to be the first group finished.
5. to other emerson students , i do not recommend summer school- its no point and its a waste of precious sleeping time. just get what you have to get done and dont fail any classes the 3rd or 6th marking period. also if you transfer late anytime at all, make sure you get whatever class you need so you wont have to be stuck in the 2 week program during the summer
6. to the staff, i like the idea of the map model, and tri-fold board but next time that should be the only thing required.. the 3D model was too much and if ever you suggest that again i at least hope you let the students get started with that earlier than 2 days before its due.
7. music or poetry.. something interactive and fun
8. i dont actually know how to fit all the subjects into music/poetry but i know english would be helpful, then maybe social studies , then probably science showing how are bodies are made to carry a note, and then math .. i dont quite know about math. maybe how many keys should be in a song or something
1.The summer school curriculum is different from the cirriculum you experience during the regular school year because first of all everything is alot faster and every sheet you get you cannot afford to get a bad grade on it , but also its much more work and everything counts.
ReplyDelete2.The most interesting thing i learned in summer school is learning how much urbanization and societ has effected us.
3.My biggest accomplishment in summer school was finishing summer school , i did not think i can go two weeks of not going to the beach.
4.The most challenging thing in summer school was not getting distracted , because everything was just happening so fast sometimes you just wanted to slow down.
5.My advice is to stay on task and get everything done because every paper counts. I would also tell them to make sure they do all of the inline homework because it effects your grade to.
6.My advice to the staff is to let students start on the projects earlier and to get a good movie when its that last day to watch a movie.
7. A topic that i would reccomend is photography because the students would love taking pictures.
8. You can incorpate english by making them write about how photography effects the world and how they solve problems , for history you can go back to when it all started , for math you can figure out if sizes and tell if the size mattered , and for science you can tell how the pictures form and why? What is in the camera that makes it work the way it does?
1.) Summer school curriculum is different from regular school curriculum by the time. I think that even though in regular school you have to get everything on time as soon ass possible, but in summer school the time is going fast. Every minute counts because we are making up 1 1/2 year of work in 10 days. If we don't complete it, we fail automatically. I think summer school is just harder, strict, and all I know is that next time, I do no belong here. Try my best and pass.
ReplyDelete2.) The most interesting thing that I learned is summer school is that how people moved from rural areas and started to move into urban areas. I knew what it meant before, but we weren't as deep into urbanization, until we got to summer school.
3.) My biggest accomplishment is that I think I did hard work and I hope it pays off. I put as much effort as I could and got all my work done. I got good grades on them. I always tried to keep my attendance neat. Now I just hope that my group and my individual grade comes out good because we as a group put so much effort into this, and don't want it to spoil.
4,) I think the most challenging part of summer school was to the time pace. Getting all our work complete in a certain amount of time. We were getting timed if it wasn't completed, minus from your grade. Meaning strict rules. I think class wise science was the hardest class for me. I say this because there is too much hard vocabulary.
5.) If I had to explain summer school to another Emerson student, or any other student, I would say to them that, if you don't want to come to summer school, the only and best advises I can give you are , to listen to all the teachers and get all your work done. Get everything on time. Attendance, behavior, etc.
6.) If I had to give a staff member advise, I would say that there should be physical education. I suggest this because kids want to have some fun and get away from some paper work. I also recommend lunch to be at least 45 minutes than 30 minutes.
7.) I would recommend teaching the topic of how technology works and effects communities and environments. I suggest this because technology changes almost every 3 months now and has a big impact on us because we use technology or everything these days.
8.) In math I would use technology by figuring out how many megabytes does a chip have that will be installed into a area in technology and how do you solve for putting them together. Science- how are the parts of the technology created. Are parts found in the oceans, lands, etc. English- How do you fix technology or create them. You should know if there is another language like code names;/words for items that are used. History- How long has it been since technology existed. Has it been used more back then? Do people like doing things by hand/manually or by technology doing it for them. How does the industrial revolution play a part into technology?

1. summer school curriculum different from the curriculum i experience during the regular school year because its easier than regular classes an less work.
ReplyDelete2.the most interesting thing you learned in summer school was how builing urbanizations are built.
3.my biggest accomplishment during summer school was was finishing the the project.
4.i find to be challenging about summer school is dealing with one of my teachers.
5.If i could give one piece of advice to another Emerson student about summer school DO YOUR WORK DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.
6. If i could give one piece of advice to the Emerson summer school staff about how to structure summer school differently next year will be no online homework.
7.If i could recommend a topic for next year's summer school to be honest i really dont know.
8. i dont know.

1. The Summer School curriculum is different from the normal school year I learned my lesson though and I want to pass all my classes instead of going to summer school its easy but it ruins your summer.
ReplyDelete2- The most interesting thing I learned in Summer School was from the TED talks that we did because we learn about how everything we need to know these ted talks help us a lot .
3-The accomplishment was that I learn to build and finish my work on time with my group.
4- The most thing I found challenging about summer school was the timing.
5- My advice would be to Emerson students that don't miss classes work hard in school and home finish all your homework do good in tests don't cut class because you will regret like I do but I learned my lesson.
6-I would tell the staff to let the students see a example give them easy topics and show them well structures and explain better to them and try to understand the students better to listen to them.
7- I would recommend a topic I would choose a food or about body building cause it would be fun and you would learn the different facts about body building and many different type of foods
8- You could incorporate by taking your time and pay attention the classes and the stuff we have to do instead of regret at the last time and rushing to finish the project and =you have to plan the things out before never at the last moment.

1. The summer school curriculum is different from the curriculum I experienced during the school year because everything is harder. Everything from one whole year’s learning was packed into one week of learning and one week of using what we learned.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned all week was learning how much it takes to actually build a city. A lot of planning goes into building a city that accommodates all the citizens. A lot of factors are involved. I honestly thought building a city would be easier than this
3. The biggest accomplishment I achieved during summer school was getting to school (almost every day), on time. That was a big thing for me because over the regular school year, I could never be on time but the ESY showed me how important punctuality is.
4. What I found most challenging about summer school was the crazy amount of work we received everyday! On top of that and going to work, ive almost lost my mind a few times within these past 2 weeks. But it also taught me that I need to have my priorites straight so I can graduate next year. I don’t want to be stuck in that school for any longer than I have to.
5. If I could give one piece of advice to another Emerson student about summer school, it would be to take school seriously because nobody wants to be stuck in summer school or risk not graduating on time. Just do what you have to do when you have to do it so you won’t have to go through the inconvenience of summer school.
6. If I could give one piece of advice to the staff of the ESY it would be to not be so hard on the kids. Inspiring them and pushing them to do their work is one thing but constantly threating to kick them out of the program is another. I can’t speak for any other student but I know I attend the ESY program to get my school life together so I won’t struggle next year. I have goals and constantly being threatened to get kicked out makes me want to just leave. So why would you want to deprive a student who obviously have something going for themselves, something as important as this?
7. If I could recommend a topic for next year’s summer school it would be the same topic because learning about urbanization and building communites really opened my eyes up to whats going on in my own community and it makes me want to go out and be active in my community.
8. For English, you could incorporate it by doing the same thing you did this year. For history, you could incorporate it by asking the students to research the history of the community and see how its changed over the years. For math, you could do the same thing to incorporate it. The same goes for math
1. The curriculum is different because it was more challenging to me.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned was actually knowing what it takes to have a successful city
3. The biggest accomplishment was actually getting all of my work done on time
4. What I found most challenging was the waking up in the morning part
5.If I can give advice on summer school is If your missing a lot of credits in school, summer school is the easiest way to get them back
6.If I could give one advice to the staff is try to give us a lil more freedom
7.If I could reccomend a topic for next year summer school I would choose urbanization again because I found it interesting urbanizing your city
8.You can incorpate english by making them write about how photography effects the world and how they solve problems , for history you can go back to when it all started , for math you can figure out if sizes and tell if the size mattered , and for science you can tell how the pictures form and why?

8. this involves math because when you interview people they will tell you how much of this is going out into the air and how much of that is going into the air, it involves english because you will have to know what everything means that the people are saying, and it involves science because they will give you the chemicals that are going into the air to cause these effects on the environment.

What is in the camera that makes it work the way it does?
1. The summer school curriculum is different from the curriculum you experience during the regular school year. Summer school is more fun in my opinion. But the summer school curriculum is different because the work is easy but there’s a lot of it at a fast pace. The work is more interesting, than regular school the hours feel longer, hard work, and people being distracted. In summer school people work harder to get there credits to pass. We also get to watch movies at the end of the day and do a fun group project.
ReplyDelete2. The most interesting thing I learned in summer school is how much humans create pollution in their environment by urbanizing and how they either help or destroy it.

5. One piece of advice to another Emerson student about summer school would be to not fail any classes because you would have to give up 2 weeks of your summer vacation to make them up.
6. One piece of advice to the Emerson summer school staff about how to structure summer school differently next year would be to give students more time to do the project because many people didn’t finish the projects.

8. The topic will incorporate English, History, Math and Science. Science for vegetation and water resource. Math to construct and place trees and plant life around. History on the past environment where the animals’ home was destroyed. English you can create a story on the environment you saw the animal in and their living conditions that could be treating their lives.

6) One good piece of advice I have is to change the first 4 hours. I cant be in one room for an 1 hour straight I need to be able to move around.
7) One idea that might be cool for next year's summer school is ancient civilizations. Every group can get one civilization and explain why they're no longer around.
8) You can involve all three math, science, and history in this project. First you could figure out what kind of language they spoke and what kind of economy they had. Finally the history portion will just explain the city and the traditions behind it.

4. I found the science part of the classes most challenging because it was my weakest subject.
5. If I can give one piece advice to another student about summer school it would be “don’t end up here, it’s not worth it and you don’t want to miss you’re summer because of this.”
6. If I could give advise to the Emerson summer school staff about how to structure summer school differently it would be to have more days for the final project instead of classes because I felt that everyone needed more time to finish up.
7. If I could recommend a topic of next year’s summer school, it would be about sports because it’s something I enjoy all four classes could fall in in category.
8. Math falls in this topic through scores and time. English can be in this topic by story of the players. Science can be in this topic by health and injuries. Finally global can be in this topic by history of teams, players and records they put.

7- A topic that will be good for next year is deforestation and the destroying of homes around the world.
8- This topic will have how communities cut down trees to make other housing areas which isn't good so the students will have to do research on the land and how sustainable it is because if u start to break the land it might fight back.
