  4. 1. Mr. Sinclair was the "black sheep" in architecture because when he was studying he said that when you design you improve or you make it bad for the community. Other architecture think that if they design something it's a jewel.
    2. Mr. Sinclair made his vision reality because he and some of his of his friends started a page and that page increased more than they thought it was. That's how it all happened, He said traveling and they found out that the people weren't the problem it was how the houses how they were built.
    3. The project Kosovo address the needs of the people that lived there was because the architecture build houses and other valuable stuff That helped the people and they even gave the new and better houses and they gave them a better life style.
    4. The design that surprised me the most was the one that they grew a plant and it took them one month to grow 14 feet and after they were done checking all there client they could it the plant that was kind of cool.
    5. The Project in Africa address the needs of people because they built better homes for the people to live and that have them more space another thing they built hospital or doctors going it the people to help cause HIV/aids.
    6. Africa couldn't address them there self cause they need the material and they need someone to make map and tell them what to do cause they couldn't do it there self.
    7. The design that surprised me the most was the one that they Built a house but in a Africa cultural way that is really cool cause people feel like there home and that there are in there country if you just build a simple house it looks boring and they feel unsure.
    8. You have to be sustainable when you live on 4 dollars a day because you don't have enough money to get what you want you gotta use other things in order to not waste a lot.
    9. I think a sustainable lifestyle can't be achieved as easily in a place like New York because it's not the same as places like Africa cause here in New York if they start a construction they won't help or put in something to help it go fast unlike Africa if they started something the people helped in any way they could.
    10. The siyathemba project address the needs of Africa because it helped the people from Africa get a better life and it helped them get less sickness because of those projects.
    11. It is important to make the people from the community part of the design process in order to make a urban planning a natural disaster successful because it makes the people know that they are involve in something they done and there gonna be in that place knowing they did something but it even makes the community stronger and better.
    12. It took the united the nation 20 years to add to the un tent was a thing that was put on top to protect the tent. Mr. Sinclair argument is that it took him 2 years to make build houses like around the world and it took the united nation 20 years to do something small.
    13. Mr. Sinclair wish is to develop a community that actively embrace innovative And sustainable design to improve a living condition for everyone.

  6. 1. Mr. Sinclair was considered the "black sheep" in architecture school because everyone else were generalized in the idea that when you design something then you should crave that design, however he believed that he should improve on the design and expand rather than focus on it as one thing.

    2. Mr. Sinclair made his vision a reality by creating a place on the web, where people were able to come together and talk about their needs and what they need help with.

    3. The Kosovo project addressed the need of the people that lived there because they focused on developing mobile health clinics for people with HIV/AIDS, they then began to respond to natural disaster and the project go involved with Iran, Bam and Africa.

    4. The proposed design that surprised me the most was the infatiable house because people lived in the small houses.

    5. The project in Africa addressed the needs of the people by getting the medical community to go to villages and to treat the people with HIV/AIDS and other medical problem as well as raised the Africans hope and awareness from this pandemic.

    6. The Africans couldn't address the needs themselves because they lived in villages and the had to walk 10-15 kilometers to get to the doctors or a hospital.

    7. The proposed designed that surprised me the most was

    8. You have to be sustainable to live on four dollars a day because if you weren't sustainable then you would have save your money for shelter, food and resources to survive everyday.

    9. A sustainable lifestyle cannot be achieved as easily in New York because it is expensive to live in the city and find a job with a high population in New York.

    10. The Siyathemba project address the needs of the people in Africa because the project addressed that people from ages 16-24 have a 50% HIV/AIDS rates. They discussed the risk of getting the disease with the people and educated them about the disease.

    11. It is important to make the people of the community part of the design process because if it's their community then their ideas should become a huge part of the design.

    12. This relates to Mr. Sinclair's original argument because the UN are a big part of the world and their goal is to keep peace in the world however they only created a tent within 20 years, but the real agencies such as Mr. Sinclair's project made a huge difference.

    13. Mr. Sinclair's wish is to develop a community that has sustainable living conditions and a sustainable culture for people to live in.

    14. I believe that Mr. Sinclair's wish can come true because he has already created a better community for many countries as a whole.

    15. This TED talk can make me build a better future city because it taught me that the society of my culture should expand on education and make the city more community friendly.

  7. 1>he's feels that he stood out in his family as he was the only one interested in architecture
2>the vision came to reality by creating a website and with that website people came to help with the housing crisis in Kosovo for retuning refugee's.
3>they started to put medical clinics for the people in Southern Africa responding to the HIV/aids epidemic.
4>the design proposal was that to build a community where the resources aren't abundant.
5> the project help build homes for the returning refugees and. Gave them a place to get health care.
6>we'll they couldn't deal with These problems themselves because Africa is in a third world which makes it harder for them to get the resources that other countries have.
7>the proposal which that they would build free health clinics to the due to disease being rampant in that area.
8>you gave to be sustainable with four dollars a day because you have to make what you have last.
9>Life in NYC can be sustainable because people who live in that area spend/waste resources daily like food and fossil fuels.
10> the project addressed the needs of the people ,since the women weren't educated they had a contest and then so the 9 finalist went through out the whole region to spread what they learned from the project.
11>for the planning to be successful they have to have the support of the people cause they need to know what the people need in order to have a safe place that wouldn't get knocked down.
12>it took 20 years fir the U.N to provide housing for people in third world countries. This reinforces the statement that he was the black sheep ancho mans his group help changed the way people lived in that area.
13>his dream is to get more people involved in humanization because it took so long for other to realize other people need help.
14> Mr.Sinclair dream wouldn't come true because people are selfish and would just do things to keep the peace so people wouldn't judge them.
15>this Ted talk helps me by if there is a ghetto in your city you have to help the people if they are not happy.

    9. I think a sustainable lifestyle cannot be achieved as easily in a place like New York City because New York is way mo0re expensive then Africa.
10.The way the Siyathemba project addresses the needs of the people in Africa is how people live there life's and the conditions over there.
11.It is important to make the people of the community part of the design process in order to make urban planning after a natural disaster successful because it can make stronger and makes a big difference in the community.

  16. 1. Mr. Sinclair was considered the "black sheep" in architecture school because everyone else were generalized in the idea that when you design something then you should praise that design, but he believed that he should improve on the design and expand rather than focus on it as a finished job.
    6. Africa couldn't address the needs of themselves because Africa didn't had the money and people was not educated.
    7. The design that surprise me the most was Mr. Sinclair because they had to plant seeds crop them and as times goes months it will grow and then you can eat the plant seeds.
    8. You have to be sustainable when you live on four dollars a day because you have less money and you can't use it with that amount of money and then you can just save them.
    9. A sustainable lifestyle can't not be build in New York because it's to money the expensive stuff the city , the health care , streets are bad and people are power hungry.
    10. The saiyathemba project help people of Africa because it improve how people live there life's and the conditions over there.
    11. It's important to involved people in community to help because it can make stronger and makes a big difference in the community area and you get listen to peoples idea and designs.
    14. I think Mr. Sinclair wish will come true because if it took him 2 years to build houses to help the people it won't take him a long time to build a stable community, he won't take up to 20 years to build something because he has his goal set and may already put his plan in motion
    15. The ted talk could help me in my future city because I would include my community to build something together where everyone puts in their ideas another reason is that I could build things that include natural resource to help the environment

  17. 1.) Mr. Sinclair was considered a "black sheep" in architecture school because he thought building a building meant to improve or change it in some sort of a way in a community.

3.) The project in Kosovo gave a life and a home to the people who lived their lives there. This is what addressed the human needs. The needs of the people that lived there.

4.) Of course an inflatable house, I have seen and have been in a toy inflatable house, I never saw it as a living space.

5.) The project in Africa built many medical centers such as hospitals and etc. to cure people. This helped and explained the needs of people.

6.) Africa couldn't address these needs to their own people because the economy can't provide these needs. The economy can't provide these needs due to a huge amount of population of people that need help and women in Africa can't even pay for proper education system, making people's lives very difficult for them.

7.) My favorite invention is growing the plants quickly. This is my favorite because almost everyone in my house, in my family love to grow food of their own. We love to plant and pick fresh fruits and vegetables that we planted and eat them. This invention is a good idea for those peoples in countries that can't grow due to bad soil. This invention can make big money in a amount of less time than other inventions in a easy way.

8.) Living on a day with $4 is difficult because you got to know if you are spending those $4 in a right way. Meaning that those $4 will actually help you, with what your needs are.

9.) A sustainable life can't be created in New York because New York has a big population of people and all of them are power of hunger. People that are in New York, think this is very difficult to bury with.

10.) The Siythemba project, improved life in Africa. It improved by the amount of space usage and the living conditions.

11.) It is very important to get the people of the community involved because then as an urban planner, I would want to support more opinions towards work and will create something that the people o the communities would like to have.

12.) Mr. Sinclair is saying that we need to come together in order to get what we want. If you want something, you wont get it unless you have everyone on your back with them.

13.) Mr. Sinclair wants to create an active community. He wants an active community that takes part in making their communities a better place and healthy for the environment.

14.) If we work together as a team, we can defeat the enemy and can make this community a better place. I think that Mr. Sinclairs wishes will come true. I think this because he just needs to put alittle bit for effort(including the communities) and make these wishes come true.

15.) This TED talk helps me with my final project because it informed me to save my money and use it wisely. It also lets me know what my people want and what they deserve.

2-he made it a reality because he made a group where people from different community's can discuss how to improve the comunitys

3- Kosovo address the needs of the people that lived there by giving them a better life. For example, they started to put medical clinics

4- the inflatable houses because i didnt think those were possible.

5- The project addresses the problem in Africa because the people needed hospitals for the sick and that problem was resolved.

6-Africa couldn't address the problems alone cause they couldnt afford it.

7-The proposed idea I like the best from Africa was the rapidly growing plants because that allows you to get resources like food and medicine.

8- you have to be sustainable why living on 4 dollars a day because theres only so much you could buy so you have to make it work for you.

  21. 1.Mr. Sinclair was the black sheep in architecture school school, because he seemed to be the only student who believed that you should design for the whole communities best interest.
    2. Mr. Sinclair made his vision a reality by responding to the issue of the hosing crisis in Kosovo by creating a organization. He created a website and started creating prototypes. Then developed mobile health clinics and started responding to natural disasters. They received many requests and got involved in different projects.
    3. The project in Kosovo led to new innovative ideas and it gave them the opportunity to rebuild their own homes with the space and few resources they had the way the people of Kosovo wanted to.
    4. The proposed design for Kosovo that surprised me the most was an inflatable hemp house. When I think of somewhere that would be safe and comfortable or even possible to live in, I do not think of a inflatable house. The fact that this house was built and worked, it amazes me.
    5. The project in Africa with the mobile clinics wasn't a original idea, but in Africa there is a epidemic of HIV and AIDS. The villagers could not get to the doctors since they were so far away. The medical community in Africa had already thought of using mobile clinics to get to patients, but they were unsure of how to create the mobile clinics.
    6. Africa couldn't address this need themselves, because they were unsure of how to create and show sustainable mobile clinics.
    7. The proposed design for Africa that surprised me the most was the clinic that is also a community center. The clinic has a economic engine and at night after the patients have been treated, it turns into a movie theatre. I had never thought you could have a clinic turn into a movie theatre by night. It's a very cool idea and the clinic space serves more than one purpose.
8.You have to be sustainable when you live on four dollars a day, because that's the only way you can survive. You have to know where your energy and resources come from. You can't waste you resources and you need things to last.
    9. I think a sustainable lifestyle cannot be achieved as easily in a pllace like New York City, because most residents of the city do not know where there energy and resources come from. I also think that most residents who live in a big city that is thriving, don't know how to stretch each dollar.
    10. The Siyathemba project addressed the needs of the people in Africa for health care and education for girls. The girls have a place where they can be active, get educated, and create a confidence in health care at this youth sports center that doubled as a HIV/AIDS outreach center .
    11. It is important to make the people of the community part of the design process, because it empowers a community and allows them to be a part of the building process. Such as in, Africa and the project with the sports youth center.
    12. It took the United Nations 20 years to add a flap to the UN tents that they provide as temporary housing. This reinforces that everyone should get involved in humanitarian work and you should rebuild your own community when disaster strikes.
    13. Mr. Sinclair's wish is to develop a community that actively embraces innovative and sustainable design to improve the living conditions for everyone.
    14. I do think Mr. Sinclair's wish will come true, because he has made several points in this TED talk. I agree that the future of sustainable living is not about highriser. I think we will have no choice to work to make sustainable living a affordable option for everyone. I think his wish will come true, because more and more people have realized that the buildings we are currently living in aren't ideal and sustainable.
    15. This talk can help me as I build my future city, because it yet again emphasizes sustainable living and points out how you can make safe, sustainable, comfortable buildings at a affordable price.

  22. 1 Mr. Sinclair had the name "black sheep" in the architecture school because everyone thought when you design a building you aim to designing a jewel and that is what you crave for , but he thought when you make a difference for the community as a whole.

2 Mr. Sinclair’s vision came to reality by creation of a website that lead people come to help with the housing crisis in Kosovo for returning refugees.

3 The project in Kosovo addresses the needs of the people that lived there because it gave them a better life and placed them into sustainable living conditions.

4 The proposed design that surprised me the most was the inflatable house because of the sizing of the housing.

5 The project in Africa addressed the needs of the people by getting the medical help in their communities to go to villages and to treat the people with HIV/AIDS and other medical problems as well as raised the Africans dreams and awareness.

6 Africa couldn't address these needs to them because Africa didn't have the enough amount of money and people weren’t well educated.

7 The invention that impressed me the most were the rapid plantings because with quicker times families will do better business and have more time to create other plans to succeed in their living.

8 You have to be sustainable to live on four dollars a day because if you weren't sustainable then you would have to save your money for food, shelter and more other resources.

9 A sustainable lifestyle can't not be build in New York because even though we may look like we have everything but all these things such as food housing and taxes are very expensive.

10 The Siyathemba project address the needs of the people in Africa because the project addressed that people from ages 16-24 have a 50% HIV/AIDS rates this project also consists of going there and explain this disease to the people of Africa.

11 It is important to make the people of the community part of the design process because if it's their community which they will be living in so you would want to make it a suitable place for them.
12 It took the united the nation 20 years to add to the tent was a thing that was put on top to protect the tent. Mr. Sinclair argument is that it took him 2 years to make build houses like around the world.
13 Mr Sinclair's wish was to get more involved in helping others.
14 I believe that Mr. Sinclair's wish can come true because he has already created a better society for many countries as small projects.
15 this Ted-talk will help me in my design of my future city by learning and knowing where to put certain places.

2- Mr. Sinclair made his vision a reality by making a blog if you will on the internet where people can give their input

3- The Kosovo project is a project that helped build clinics fro people with very serious diseases such us HIV/ AIDS

4- The proposed design that surprised me was the small houses that inflated because living in a bouncy house would be amazing.

5- The project in Africa considered the the people by getting them medical attention for incurable viruses and infections

6- The Africans Did not have the ability to get the medical attention they needed due to the long distance of 10-15km just to see a doctor, most of them would not make it alive

7- The purpose design that surprised me the most was is that they would build free health clinics to help with disease in a specific area.

    8. In order to live on $4 a day you would have to be very financially sane to be able to survive day to day rather then week by week.

    9. A sustainable lifestyle is not easily obtained in New York city due to the high population and very high amount of money that is priced for certain items.

    10. The Siyathemba project sustains the needs of Africa due to the project that states that ages 16-24 have a 50% HIV/AIDS rates to lower this rate they informed them more on the topic

    11. Making the people apart of the community and giving them the chance to make inputs on the design process will make the m care for it because it is satisfying their wants and their needs

    12. This relates to Mr. Sinclair's original argument by the UN keeping world wide peace and Mr Sinclair keeping peace in his community for everyone and no development of social classes

    13. Mr. Sinclair's wish is to develop a community that the living conditions are acceptable for everybody

    14. I believe that Mr. Sinclair's wish can come true because he has successfully built many other successful cities and and one more cannot do him any wrong

    15. This TED talk can make me build a better future city with the fact that i was informed that the community needs and wants should be implicated in the design process.

    6. Africa is full of undeveloped countries. Some countries have corrupt governments (etc Nigeria). They also lack money.

    7. The design that surprised me the most was the plants. Those plants grow so fast; and crops are good for your stomach, so there you go.

    8. When you make $4 a day, you are probably going to be more responsible with your money. Buy a mcdouble for $1, put $2 into a shelter, and that last dollar for some chewing gum.

    10. The young people of Siyathemba has a 50% chance for obtaining AIDS/HIV. This project will address the needs of the people by building clinics and homes. Free food and free love.

    12. One of the UN's goal is halting the spread of AIDS/HIV and assist developing countries financially. 2 decades is unacceptable.

    13. Mr. TED Talker's wish is to build a community which has acceptable living conditions and a sustainable life style.

    14. No. Unfortunately no one seems to care about third-world problems, because people have problems of their own. Look at the UN for example, it took them 20 years to build those tents.

1 – He was a black sheet because he believed that when you designed you designed to make the community better by improving what was already there.

2 – He made his vision a reality when he created a group that allowed people to get together and talk about what would be best for their own community’s. After they discuss that they are able to get the supply’s they need to make their visions come true.

3 – It addressed the people’s needs because it’s acknowledged the fact that they needed a place to live and gave them that so that they would be able to enjoy their lives.

4 – The designed that really surprised me, was the inflatable house, I was literally sitting for a couple of minutes actually thinking about how this became an idea, wouldn't it be dangerous?

5 – It addressed the needs of people in Africa by giving them hospitals so that diseases like HIV and AIDs can be treated

6 – They were unable to address their own needs because some parts of Africa are very poor and the people there are uneducated.

8 – You have to be sustainable living on four dollars a day because you would need to learn how to have your necessities and left over money in order to survive.

9 – A sustainable lifestyle in New York would be hard because New York is expensive and the population and percentage of people looking for jobs is high.

10 - The Siyathemba project gives people information and helps people discuss things such as AIDs and HIV so that they become more aware of it.

11 – It is important for people to be included in the design work because you never know when the average person in your community can come up with a great lifestyle changing idea.

    12 –

13 – His wish is a community that has a sustainable lifestyle

14 – I personally believe his wish cannot come true because as long as people are imperfect and have corrupt intentions we cannot truly get this world to the place we want it to be

    6. Africa couldn’t address this need themselves because they were low on resources and money

7.. The design that surprised me the most was the rapidly growing plants because you can have a faster way of getting resources. They had to plant seeds and crop them and as times went on, they grow and you have plenty of resources for the community.

    8. You have to be sustainable to live on 4 dollars a day because you have to spend your money very wisely. It’s extremely difficult to live off of only $4 a day but if you being to build and save that money, you’ll eventually get somewhere with your $4 a day.

    9. A sustainable lifestyle cannot be achieved as easily in a place like NYC because everything here is expensive. New York is all about material things and to get that, you’re going to need money. So making $4 a day wouldn’t give you sustainable lifestyle.

11.. It is important to make the people of the community part of the design because if anyone would know how the community should be designed and what needs to be where, it would be the citizens that live there

    12. It took the United Nations 20 years to add to the un tent was a thing that was put on top to protect the tent. Mr. Sinclair argument is that it took him 2 years to make build houses like around the world and it took the united nation 20 years to do something small.

    13. Mr. Sinclair’s wish is to create a community that actively embraces innovative & sustainable design to improve a living condition for everyone
